Finally!

Finally... your favourite blogger is back (Though I've received only 1 mail concerning the blog ;) Please send more...)
I've been occupied with my exams, which were fine... and also a new Harry Potter rp game www.virtual-hogwarts.com Go check it out!
I saw 'Married to the Kelly's' yesterday and I can't believe that however lame the dialogues, I like the show, esp. Louis' character. The day when I saw it first, I hated it, but now.... :) Do you guys like it or hate it?
BTW, here are the goals for today:
1 Finish reading Jeffrey Archer 'Quiver Full of Arrows'
2 Watch 'Still Standing'
3 Clean the hall
4 Get feedback for 'Robert Ludlum's - The Altman Code'

PS - Is 'The Altman Code' any good?
Feedback appreciated as always - ashwin91@gmail.com

It's so tough

It's so tough
to make everyone smile
make them laugh
'coz it's worth your while
make them happy
even though your sad
keep your real self
in your head

it's so tough
to stay the same
coz all around around you
the world has changed

it's so tough
to be yourself
with people watching
your every step

still the world goes on
time, tide & all else
what you are doesn't matter
it's what you do that everyone tells.

Papal Wonder

The late Pope John Paul 2 was the first non - Vatican Pope in I guess about 450 years. Now, all the major candidates are non - Vatican.
There's an African, an Indian, an American and others in the chase. That's more variety than one would see on a menu!
It goes on to show the Pope's impact around the world. His 26 year old reign was full of glory, making the next Pope stronger as a leader. The times have passed since the Pope ruled Europe, but thanks to Pope John Paul 2, in a few centuries time, the Pope may be able to sit confidently on the throne of Europe having rid the world of wars and leaving us in peace...
RIP Pope John Paul 2

Borrowed... and kept!

My friends have taken a small amount of cash and 'promised' to return it, but... haven't. I had spent a few weeks thinking it over and cursing them, especially one for treating me badly :P but now I think that the amount each has borrowed is small, whereas the total amount is quite significant...
Now, I think about the English language. It's borrowed quite an amount of words from all languages... spectacle, spectacular all latin. Dejavu and a lot more straight from the French textbook. Why do it? Why not just make new words? Well,
It'll be more easy, firstly.
It'll be accepted more widely....
Isn't it the same as what happened with me in the first case? No. First of all, they didn't publicise my money... I wouldn't love that, though. Also, it ain't allowed to be compared as me teacher once said, "You can't compare a person's height and his marks in chemistry as Ratio."

Left Undone

Boy, I hate it when things are left undone. Yesterday, I was watching Minority report and didn't see the end. It didn't seem so great anyway.
Just like when you write something, computer is MUCH faster than scrawling on paper with pen or a pencil.
I don't think the movie directors like it either when actors leave their films in the middle, leaving it UNDONE.
I don't think even you would like it if I left this column un...

Match fixer

'Tis what the series is about. The Indo Pak series.
Think about it. What are the odds that in a two team series not including Australia, that there have been only 2 scores of less than 270! And that's the way it is heading... Inzamam made a fantabulistic run chase possible? So can bookies. And it's 2 - 2, probably India will win (no way for Pak) or it'll draw. Then what is the advantage for Pak? Well, they have been made to look good by India, getting 316 off just 48 (technically the highest runs chased)...
Stop this... match-fixers!

Cricket dilemma

March 26, 2005
Welcome to my hangout, my grotto.
I am sure you will find this interesting and if you don't find it so, don't bother asking for a refund. You aren't going to get one. It's free by the way. :)

Well, cricket is really becoming a political sport. Especially the series between India & Pakistan. They kept on repeating that 'first time in 13 years' crap for the previous series. First time in 13 years, so what? Waste your time thinking about if they're in form or not. Atleast when Pakistan came to India they didn't repeat it with 'first time in 3 years' headlines. But this time they focused it on the arrival of Pakistan's president/general. Frankly, I don't think he will show up, even if he gets his required stuff, but you can't blame him, if I was in his place, I wouldn't either.

Did you know the full form of BCCI? It's Bored of Control of Cricket in India. Really, they didn't control any fires or 'aloo' controversies...

Meanwhile, thumbs up to Sehwag for playing his second defiant innings in the series, like Younis Khan. Sehwag hit a quick paced 201 to increase his first innings average in a Test. He is second only to the great Bradman for averages in 1st innings of a team in a Test.

On the other side of the world, the Marshall twins became the first pair of identical twins to bat together. Hamish turned out to be the greater Marshall, scoring almost 50 more than James. BTW, they shared a 28 run partnership...

So, until next time,
