Cricket dilemma
March 26, 2005
Welcome to my hangout, my grotto.
I am sure you will find this interesting and if you don't find it so, don't bother asking for a refund. You aren't going to get one. It's free by the way. :)
Well, cricket is really becoming a political sport. Especially the series between India & Pakistan. They kept on repeating that 'first time in 13 years' crap for the previous series. First time in 13 years, so what? Waste your time thinking about if they're in form or not. Atleast when Pakistan came to India they didn't repeat it with 'first time in 3 years' headlines. But this time they focused it on the arrival of Pakistan's president/general. Frankly, I don't think he will show up, even if he gets his required stuff, but you can't blame him, if I was in his place, I wouldn't either.
Did you know the full form of BCCI? It's Bored of Control of Cricket in India. Really, they didn't control any fires or 'aloo' controversies...
Meanwhile, thumbs up to Sehwag for playing his second defiant innings in the series, like Younis Khan. Sehwag hit a quick paced 201 to increase his first innings average in a Test. He is second only to the great Bradman for averages in 1st innings of a team in a Test.
On the other side of the world, the Marshall twins became the first pair of identical twins to bat together. Hamish turned out to be the greater Marshall, scoring almost 50 more than James. BTW, they shared a 28 run partnership...
So, until next time,
